Celton Welsh Ponies.

Celton Welsh Pony Stud was established in 1968 with the purchase of Criban Patience at Fayre Oaks. She was joined some years later by Coed Coch Nora (bought from Mr Emrys Bowen of The Cennen Stud) who produced Celton Naiomi (Rotherwood Tomahawk) and Celton Nadia (Cennen Signature Tune). These two mares along with Downland and Cennen breeding have formed the nucleus of the stud.

Mr Bowen was generous in his loan of stallions over the years as was Mrs K. Cuff (Downland) who allowed us to borrow Downland Krugerrand and Downland Chivilry and take Celton Nadia to Downland Mohawk. We were fortunate to acquire Cottrell Ambassador from Mrs P. Johns Powell who produced some lovely stock until his untimely death in 2003.
